About us

We believe that the voices of passengers are key to improving cross border rail in Europe.

Millions of Europeans are making cross-border trips each day. Even when rail would be the most environmentally friendly option for many of these trips, far too often there are too many obstacles and they are made by driving or flying. Despite the concrete need, large public interest, and available potential solutions not enough is being done to clear these obstacles and make it easier to cross borders by rail. Policymakers, existing transport organisations, and railway operators are currently focusing on improving rail almost exclusively on the national level. The challenges to cross-border rail can only be addressed with a transnational approach.

We want to address this lack of action by bringing our voices, as passengers, to bear in the political arena. We, the end users of cross border rail, know the current problems and opportunities, want to see effective solutions implemented, and have the flexibility to reach across border and work together. That’s why we have come together in a Europe wide direct membership organisation. We are here to mobilise, organise, and advocate for better cross-border rail.

We are 100% volunteer run and are currently working towards official NGO status as a registered ASBL in Belgium.

The interior of a train, looking out of a window past empty, past empty seats, you see rural landscape.
